In what year did you start CrossFit?
2012
Why did you start CrossFit?
I was set in my ways working out solo at global gyms. My friend, who was a CrossFit coach at the time, kept asking me to try CrossFit. I wasn’t keen on group classes — but here we are 10 years later.
How many days per week do you CrossFit and what is your normal class time?
Five days a week, you’ll find me working out during open gym, though I do love jumping into the random class!
What is your favorite movement?
I LOVE the Hang Squat Clean!
What movement do you want to conquer?
It’s definitely the Handstand Walk.
What kind of music do you like to listen to when you work out?
Almost anything works, but primarily EDM for metcons and 80s ballads for weightlifting.
What kind of changes have you noticed since joining Straight Flush?
My snatch technique has improved exponentially and my workout strategy playbook has expanded greatly.
What do you do for a living?
I’m the General Manager of Straight Flush CrossFit. 😉
What do you like to do when you’re not working out at Straight Flush?
I love great food with great conversation with amazing friends. I love the movies, traveling, photography, and reading.
What do you love most about the Straight Flush community?
The camaraderie — everyone in the gym wants everyone to succeed!
