In what year did you start CrossFit?
2017
Why did you start CrossFit?
I’ve always wanted to try it before, but was not in great shape at the time and used to think you had to be really fit to start (wrong!). After getting out of a relationship at the time and working on myself, I got to the point I was confident to try it out, and Mike Chong hooked me in!
How many days per week do you CrossFit and what is your normal class time?
I attend class 5-6 times a week, normally. Team 6:30 pm! But I try to go to all the class times!
What is your favorite movement?
My favorite is front squats.
What movement do you want to conquer?
I’d like to conquer the Snatch.
What kind of music do you like to listen to when you work out?
I like to listen to Hardstyle EDM/Dubstep when I work out.
What kind of changes have you noticed since joining Straight Flush?
Besides being physically fitter, I’ve also noticed I have a better mindset. I’m more willing to try new things in all aspects of my life. I say “I can’t” a lot less and have become a more confident person in general.
What do you do for a living?
I am a Physical Therapist for a Rehab Hospital
What do you like to do when you’re not working out at Straight Flush?
Hanging out with Reina and our doggies, play Animal Crossing, building Gundams, hosting BBQ hangouts, and watch random sports from around the world (i.e., sumo wrestling and kabadi)
What do you love most about the Straight Flush community?
The community and how hard it works! I’ve met so many amazing people who, regardless of age, level, ability, or fitness background put in the work when they’re in the gym. It gets me pumped up and makes me want to be better.
