In what year did you start CrossFit?
2018

Why did you start CrossFit?
I was intimidated by CrossFit, having never lifted a heavy barbell, but my husband and the coaches that worked with me my first day showed me that functional fitness, no matter your ability level, is for everyone.

How many days per week do you CrossFit and what is your normal class time?
2 days per week, usually 8:00 a.m. on weekends

What is your favorite movement?
Clean and jerk

What movement do you want to conquer?
Squat Snatch and Handstand Walks

What kind of music do you like to listen to when you work out?
I like to listen to any kind of music when I work out.

What kind of changes have you noticed since joining Straight Flush?
Personally, I’ve noticed gains in both functionality and strength. As a P.E. teacher, going to CrossFit has helped me lead my students by example. All 650 of them know how to do a burpee! My goal is for my students to understand what they are doing is helping them, and to create lifelong habits in doing so.

P.E. teacher

What do you like to do when you’re not working out at Straight Flush?
I like to spend time with my family when I’m not working out at SFCF.

What do you love most about the Straight Flush community?
Our athletes cheer each other on no matter how well you’re doing because they know you’re pushing your hardest.
