Why did you start CrossFit?
In 2020 when the pandemic hit, Jackie Ladanga and I were running up and down 4 flights of stairs everyday because gyms were closed. Our manager stopped us due to liability at work. So when SFCF re-opened she invited me to try it out----I was hooked in a week.
How many days per week do you CrossFit and what is your normal class time?
Minimum 3, sometimes 4. I usually go to 430 or open gym.
What is your favorite movement?
Well, I love the kettlebells and the rower. Weightlifting I would have to say Clean and jerk and deadlift.
What movement do you want to conquer?
The squat snatch.
What kind of music do you like to listen to when you work out?
I am a 80’s hairbands/metal kinda girl.
What kind of changes have you noticed since joining Straight Flush?
My strength has definitely improved. I think it has boosted my overall confidence too. I am more tone and have leaned out also.
What do you do for a living?
I am an RN. I work in the operating room at an outpatient surgery center.
What do you like to do when you’re not working out at Straight Flush?
I like to watch any kind of racing, bowling, visit my daughter in California, and anything to do with animals. My favorite racing is when my daughter Kayli out at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I spend many weekends from March to October out there watching her race---since she was 8 years old, she is 24 now!
What do you love most about the Straight Flush community?
It is like a family. I felt so welcomed when I started - I was so nervous and now I am very comfortable.
